Combining the elegance of sheer curtains with the functionality of block-out curtains, our custom double curtains provide the perfect balance of style and practicality. Crafted from premium fabrics sourced from Australia's leading suppliers, our sheer curtains allow natural light to filter through, adding a touch of softness and texture to your space while maintaining daytime privacy. Meanwhile, our block-out curtains, crafted in Australia from 3-pass, light-blocking materials, effectively block out unwanted light and regulate room temperature, enhancing energy efficiency. With meticulous attention to quality assurance, our double curtains guarantee durability and performance, offering you a serene ambiance and energy savings without compromising on style.
Curtains Dept stands out in the market because of our unparalleled commitment to quality, offering premium materials that ensure durability and elegance. With a diverse range of fabric styles, customers can find the perfect match for any décor, while an extensive palette of colours allows for ultimate customisation.
What sets us apart is our seamless process of customisation, allowing clients to tailor curtains to their exact specifications. We offer free design sessions where you can tell us about your space, windows, and design aspirations so we can help you get the best results for your windows.
Additionally, the convenience of online shopping means customers can explore options from the comfort of their homes, making Curtains Dept the go-to destination for stylish, personalized window treatments. Our free sampling program allows you to see for yourself the textures and colours of our fabric offerings in your own home!
At Curtains Dept, we offer 2 different heading styles: modern S-fold & classic Pinch Pleat. We recommend using a pinch pleat for the back curtain and an s-fold for the front curtain. This pairing offers the aesthetic of the s-fold on the room side, without protruding as far as having two s-folds. However, you can combine the pleats any way that you like. Our curtains are proudly made by us in Melbourne. This allows for faster delivery and, because we own our curtain workroom, better savings for our customers.
We always strive to present our fabrics accurately through the images on our website, but due to variations in device and screen settings, we cannot guarantee a perfect match between the fabric on your screen and in real life. It is for this reason that we always encourage our customers to take advantage of our complimentary sample program, which provide you with a first-hand look at the fabric colours and textures in your own home.
Combining block-out curtains and sheers is a great way to achieve both privacy and light control in your space. Block-out curtains are designed to keep out light and provide privacy. Sheers are light and airy, allowing natural light to filter through while still providing some degree of privacy during the day. Block-out fabric offers 100% opacity and provides complete privacy when closed, while sheer fabric is translucent and provides some privacy, depending on the time of day. When combined into a double curtain, you get the best of both worlds! Learn more about double curtains here.
